RCL has partnered with Lloyd's Register OneOcean (LR OneOcean) to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of its fleet operations. Advanced optimisation technology Under the agreement, RCL has subscribed to LR OneOcean’s voyage optimisation platform, which provides real-time voyage planning, dynamic weather routing, and intelligent speed management. By integrating this advanced route optimisation technology, RCL aims to significantly reduce fuel consumption, cut carbon emissions, and improve cargo delivery reliability —all while ensuring compliance with tightening environmental regulations. Pacific International Lines (PIL) is pleased to introduce a new weekly direct service, connecting the key ports in China, Vietnam, Singapore and India’s East Coast. The new service, known as China Vietnam India Service (CVI), will commence on 22 April 2022 from Ningbo, China. It will be served by a consortium of vessels with an average capacity of 2200 TEUs, jointly deployed by PIL, Regional Container Lines (RCL) and Interasia Lines (IAL). RCL announces the launch of a new shuttle service between Thailand and South China with its partner Mariana Express Lines. The service will call at Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) – Laem Chabang – Nansha – Shekou – Laem Chabang using 2 X 1,200 ship rotation. RCL will brand this service as "RBS". The maiden voyages The maiden voyages will commence 5 June 2021 on the southbound ex Nansha. Mariana Express Lines will initially deploy 2 X 1,200 TEU on the service with RCL eventually phasing in the M.V. Ratana Thida by July 2021 to replace one of Mariana’s vessels. RBS to complement the RBH service Customers will also enjoy fast transits in both directions with the new shuttle service According to a RCL spokesperson, "The new RBS will complement the RBH service today by offering our customers in Thailand and South China alike the convenience of twice weekly sailings.” “The calls in Nansha and Shekou on the new RBS are on the weekend, complementing the RBH calls at Nansha and Shekou over Thursday and Friday". “In addition, RBS will also call at PAT vs Thai Sugar terminal in Bangkok. Customers can choose a terminal of their preference. Customers will also enjoy fast transits in both directions, for example with a 5 day transit time between Laem Chabang and Nansha which ranks’s amongst the industry’s best for time sensitive cargoes.".
