IMTRA expands Gulf Coast partnerships with new hires

IMTRA, the globally renowned manufacturer and importer of quality solutions and products for the marine, energy and transportation markets, announced the addition of United States Coast Guard Veteran - Steve Baxter and marine industry professional - Alden Tangen to its commercial sales team. Prior roles of Steve Baxter Steve Baxter joins IMTRA as the Gulf Coast Commercial Sales Manager after 27 years of service in the United States Coast Guard. During his time in the USCG, he held several key positions, including Engineer Petty Officer, Ready for Operations Chief, Lead Mechanical Inspector, and most recently, Command Master Chief where he was first stationed in Bahrain and later in New Orleans, La. Early in his career as a Machinery Technician, Baxter developed strong ties to the maritime industry while working on military vessels in shipyards from Morgan City, La., to Panama City, Fla. His involvement with USCG Acquisitions further strengthened his relationships with major Gulf Coast shipbuilders. IMTRA’s tradition of high-quality customer service “Steve has a deep understanding of federal acquisition requirements which will be a valuable asset to IMTRA and our customers,” said Eric MacDonald, IMTRA Director of Commercial Sales. He brings with him more than 15 years of marine industry project management experience, most recently having founded Bluewater Solutions, a company specialising in marine service and construction, restoration, rigging and general consulting. Tangen’s passion for being on the water began at a young age, growing up surfing and sailing in southeastern Massachusetts, and later notching over 11,000 offshore miles, including an Atlantic crossing.
