Mark Lawson is a seasoned professional in maritime safety and communications, currently serving as the Maritime Safety & Security Manager at Iridium since April 2023. In this role, Lawson focuses on developing and enforcing safety and security policies for satellite and maritime operations, ensuring compliance with key international regulatory frameworks. Prior to joining Iridium, Lawson held the position of Communications Manager at the Maritime and Coastguard Agency from August 2015 to February 2023, overseeing operational systems for terrestrial and satellite communications. Lawson's career began as a Police Officer from March 2001 to August 2015, where significant experience was gained in specialised roles within the Specialist Firearms Unit and Diplomatic Protection.
