This rebranding follows a significant investment by Cyan Renewables, a Singaporean pioneer in offshore wind vessel operations, which acquired a substantial stake in the company last year. Despite the name change, operations remain firmly rooted in Scotland, with leadership continuing to operate from Aberdeen.

Chief Executive Officer Rory Deans emphasises the strategic evolution, stating, "This rebrand reflects our evolution as a company — one that now has the backing of a global partner with shared values and complementary expertise."
He continues to highlight their enduring local presence: "While our name has changed, our DNA has not. We remain a Scottish business with our people, operations and decision-making firmly rooted in Aberdeen. The investment from Cyan Renewables allows us to grow and diversify our fleet to meet the demands of both the traditional energy sector and the fast-expanding offshore wind market along with marine protection roles."
