NorthStandard has announced the appointment of Michael Hustler as the new Head of Asia Pacific, underscoring the global marine insurer's commitment to growth, service expansion, and diversification in this vibrant region.
Commencing his role on 27th October, Mr Hustler brings a wealth of experience from his 16 years at NorthStandard, most recently serving as Head of Underwriting, Asia Pacific. He steps into the position following David Roberts, who will depart from NorthStandard in February 2026.
Leadership in day-to-day operations
Based in Singapore, Mr Hustler will oversee NorthStandard's operations throughout the Asia Pacific region. His responsibilities include collaborating with local teams to enhance and innovate the service offerings to members, alongside aligning regional activities with the overarching priorities of the club.
He will report directly to NorthStandard's Chief Strategy Officer, Ed Davies. Mr Davies remarked, "Mike’s risk management expertise and understanding of member needs have been making a vital contribution to growing our Asia Pacific presence and relationships, while our underwriting strategy across the region has benefitted significantly from his leadership."
