Marcura and CFARER have announced a significant partnership aimed at advancing maritime procurement by bridging e-commerce with technical operations for fleets globally.
As part of this venture, ShipServ will become the preferred platform for Ship Manager Procurement, catering to approximately 2,000 vessels. Additionally, VesselMan is set to enhance CFARER’s offerings for digital dry-docking, inspections, and technical assignments.
Integration of platforms
Integration helps keep proof, benchmarking, and e-invoicing, all running in the set
While many operators utilise effective purchasing software, they often encounter a fragmented supplier network. The integration of ShipServ with Ship Manager Procurement allows technical purchasing teams seamless access to over 50,000 pre-vetted suppliers directly through their existing workflows.
This integration supports compliance verification, benchmarking, and e-invoicing, all running in the background. AI-enhanced insights are used to identify reliable suppliers based on historical performance, quotation quality, and delivery records.
Enhancing predictability with VesselMan
VesselMan provides structured planning and execution for processes such as dry-docking, inspections, and technical projects. By synchronising procurement timelines with yard schedules, it enhances predictability and minimises administrative overhead.
Customers benefit from the amalgamation of procurement analytics and on-vessel realities. Marcura contributes deep insights into procurement, while CFARER adds onboard perspectives via Ship Manager Technical and Ship Manager Analyser.
Data-driven decision making
Data-driven approach provides that decisions align with actual vessel functions, considering elements
This data-driven approach ensures that decisions align with actual vessel operations, considering elements like maintenance status, open work orders, consumption trends, and current spare parts inventory for both individual vessels and fleets.
This alignment helps to prevent over-stocking, minimise urgent orders, and ensure that procurement aligns with genuine technical requirements.
Broadening capabilities
“Procurement teams need control and timely access to the right suppliers. This partnership delivers both. A number of major shipping companies are already using ShipServ integrated with Ship Manager Procurement. We are now extending this capability to CFARER’s broader client base together,” stated Sharon Gill, Senior VP, Commercial and Partner Alliances, Marcura.
Stian Omli, Chief Commercial Officer of CFARER, added, “Our customers operate across every major segment of shipping. Marcura and CFARER share a best-of-breed approach with a strong focus on practical innovation. Together we help fleets work faster and with more confidence, at sea and ashore.”

Enhanced analytics and maintenance alignment
Clients will benefit from comprehensive analytics across procurement, maintenance, and QHSE via Ship Manager Analyser. This integration is intended to enable quicker sourcing, increase accountability, and maintain project schedules efficiently.
