Recently, Blue Water’s Energy & Projects division arranged two air charters in close cooperation with its global Air Chartering desk.

Transport offshore equipment

Unforeseen volcanic activity en route forced them to come up with a successful alternative flight plan

For one of BWS's long-time Oil & Gas clients, it chartered an Antonov AN-124 to transport offshore equipment from Denmark to Australia, almost 6,300 miles. Due to efficient coordination between the client’s representatives, the airline, and its own experts, BWS succeeded in getting the aircraft in the air despite harsh weather conditions with drifting snow and severe frost.

However, the challenges did not stop there. Unforeseen volcanic activity en route forced them to come up with a successful alternative flight plan which worked out to the full understanding and satisfaction of the client.

Strong Caribbean team

The same week, BWS also arranged an Antonov AN-12 for the same client. This job was handled professionally by the strong, local Caribbean team also in close cooperation with the global Air Chartering desk and the distance covered from Trinidad to Australia was approx. 9,000 miles.

Blue Water’s specialist teams always cooperate and contribute dedicated efforts to create the right solutions for our clients. With our strong, local Blue Water set up in the Caribbean, we can provide our clients with the same high quality as expected from us globally,” says Michael Teelucksingh, General Manager Energy & Projects, Blue Water Trinidad.
