ABS Wavesight, affiliated with ABS as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, recently held an interactive summit, bringing together customers over two days to discuss the latest advancements in their software products. The focus was on strategic initiatives and enhancing the user experience with ABS Wavesight's comprehensive software suite.
"For more than 25 years, our user summit has been the anchor point for unveiling our latest innovations and connecting with the maritime software community to shape what’s next," shared Staci Satterwhite, CEO of ABS Wavesight.
New maritime software innovations
According to Satterwhite, this unified platform is designed to simplify compliance and boost performance
Among the key announcements at the summit was ABS Wavesight Advantage, a new intelligent platform aimed at enhancing efficiency through technology-driven fuel savings.
According to Satterwhite, this unified platform is designed to simplify compliance and boost performance, offering features such as real-time validation, emissions benchmarking, and an efficient method for submitting data for statutory verification via a digital connection.
"I’m proud to highlight our most recent product, ABS Wavesight Advantage, an intelligent, unified platform that is built to support the power of one, where 1% of fuel savings through software-driven performance efficiencies can help deliver payback 5x faster than retrofits," Satterwhite added.
Introducing Nautical Systems Enterprise 7.0.0
An additional highlight was the debut of Nautical Systems Enterprise (NSE) 7.0.0, a version designed to enhance security, speed, and user confidence in maritime operations. This update intends to streamline workflows and deliver dependable ship-to-shore data, ultimately aiding teams in reducing operational and compliance risks.
Beyond standard software solutions
The summit also featured insights from Dimitris Kainadas, Technical Safety & Compliance Officer at Thenamaris (Ships Management). He discussed the challenges of managing data, procurement, and compliance across a fleet. "To stay ahead, we need a software provider that evolves with us; that’s why we value strong business collaborators with a solid understanding of our industry who are ready to respond quickly when problems occur," Kainadas remarked.
ABS Wavesight positions itself as more than a typical software provider, leveraging its close partnership with parent company ABS to offer deep industry insight and enhanced customer collaboration.
"ABS Wavesight distinguishes itself from other providers by being more than just a software company. Their deep understanding of the shipping industry, rooted in their close collaboration with parent company ABS, gives them unique insights that most software firms simply can't match," Kainadas pointed out.
