ABS has granted approval in principle (AIP) to Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for their HyfloWind Float. This new floating offshore wind platform aims to improve energy production efficiency and simplify deployment.
Emphasising a composite design with concrete and steel, the HyfloWind Float departs from conventional all-steel structures, enabling regional fabrication where steel manufacturing might be limited and reducing dependency on steel imports. This blend of materials helps decrease the unit's overall weight.
Renewable and reliable energy sources
HyfloWind Float introduces a clever plan for making floating wind venues, allowing nations to utilise
The development of new technologies is crucial for the global offshore wind sector, as it seeks to expand and offer renewable, consistent energy options for countries around the world.
The HyfloWind Float introduces an innovative technique for constructing floating wind platforms, allowing nations to utilise local materials and workforce.
